A STUDLEY GROUNDS KEW WEDDING
Alana & Chris’s Unforgettable Wedding at Studley Grounds, Kew
It’s always a joy to return to a venue as breathtaking as Studley Grounds, but Alana and Chris’s wedding made the experience even more special. Nestled in the heart of Kew, this stunning location served as the perfect backdrop for a celebration that was full of love, laughter, and personality.
What made their day truly stand out was how they approached it — completely on their own terms. Rather than sticking to tradition, Alana and Chris created a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere that reflected their style and values. From the moment guests arrived, it was clear that this wasn’t going to be a typical wedding day. There were no rigid timelines or forced formalities — just good vibes, heartfelt moments, and lots of spontaneous fun.
The venue played a huge role in bringing that vision to life. With its lush gardens, timeless architecture, and sweeping views of Yarra Bend Park, Studley Grounds wedding venue in Kew offered the perfect balance of elegance and tranquillity. Whether it was golden hour portraits beneath the trees or candid group shots on the terrace, every corner of the venue provided another amazing photo opportunity.
And let’s take a moment to talk about the bridal party — particularly Chris and the groomsmen. These guys brought energy! Not only were they totally up for anything I suggested, they brought their own ideas too, resulting in a collection of images that are brimming with character and humour. There was no shortage of laughter, from the prep photos all the way through to the evening celebrations.
Alana, too, was an absolute vision — effortlessly elegant and beaming with joy throughout the day. Together, she and Chris radiated that kind of connection that’s so easy to capture because it’s so genuine. Their comfort with one another, and the people around them, made for some truly beautiful and candid storytelling through photography.
This wedding was a perfect reminder that there’s no ‘right way’ to do things. When couples feel empowered to shape their day around what matters most to them — skipping traditions that don’t resonate and embracing those that do — the results are always more meaningful, more relaxed, and far more memorable.
Alana and Chris, thank you for letting me be part of your day and trusting me to document it all. Wishing you a lifetime of love and laughter!
